Advanced Control Features

  • Microprocessor temperature control with LED digital display allows accurate temperature control
  • Accurate temperature setting, confirmation and operation are managed through microprocessor temperature control with a LED digital display and flat key data entry.

Oil Separator

  • A high-efficiency oil separator creates stable ultra-low temperature environments.
  • Compressors continuously repeat highly compressed operations, so lubricant oil is essential to prevent abrasion and seizure. But when lubricant oil circulates in the refrigeration circuit, piping becomes clogged and results in compressor damage.
  • Incorporating an exclusive high-efficiency oil separator, the SANYO cryogenic freezer effectively separates lubricant oil from the refrigerant, offering a stable ultra-low temperature environment.


Cabinet Insulation

A special foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation material offers maximum cabinet protection for operating efficiency and stored product safety.

  • The temperature difference between the inside and outside of the freezer can reach a maximum of 150°C.
  • In the cryogenic range below - 100°C, ordinary foamed-in-place polyurethane insulating material can become cracked and warped.
  • Specially designed to withstand low temperatures, SANYO foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation is 6.7"" (170mm) thick and highly resistant to extreme temperature differences, thus helping maintain inner temperature stability.


V.I.P.™ Plus Design

  • SANYO V.I.P. PLUS™ Cryogenic Series -150°C ultra-low temperature freezers use patented revolutionary vacuum insulation cabinet construction that reduces the wall thickness from 175mm ti 135mm (6.9"" to 5.3"") and achieves up to 25% more storage capacity than a conventionally insulated freezer without increasing the footprint.
  • This design prevents the insulation layers from distortion and cracking that might occur due to temperature differences inside and out, and creates the most efficient insulation material available today.
  • Moisture condensation at the top edges of the cabinet due to differences in temperature inside and out causes frost and icing problems, which may reduce heat insulation efficiency and obstruct door movements. These obstructions are prevented by the ""hot line"" which prevents frost and condensation from forming on the gasket.
  • The newly developed refrigeration system and the freezer structure offer a quiet experimental environment.
  • Achieves 50% higher energy conservation than conventionally insulated model.


Control, Alarm and Monitoring

Multiple alarm and safety devices are included to protect valuable samples.

  • Microprocessor-controlled filter-clogged check function protects the refrigeration circuit.
  • High temperature warning equipment automatically indicates when the temperature deviates 10°C from the set temperature.
  • The power failure alarm lamp and buzzer are activated in case of power failure or irregular temperature increase.
  • A remote alarm contact is equipped.
  • The unit is also equipped with an auxiliary back-up system for liquid nitrogen that works for approximate 8-12 consecutive hours.


Cabinet Design

The inner cabinet configuration is easy to use and accommodates standard 2"" and 3"" high boxes in vertical racks.
